Q&A

Q: What is REPAREX?

A: REPAREX is a hair product which restores gray hair to its natural color.

Q: Is it a hair dye?

A: No, it is not. A hair dye colors your hair from the outside but REPAREX restores your natural hair color from the inside.

Q: How is it possible to color the hair from the inside?

A: REPAREX does not color your hair. REPAREX is a natural solution which utilizes the knowledge we have of the underlying reason for hair going gray. It supplies your hair with an enzyme that removes oxygen molecules from hair pigment, which returns your hair its original color.

Q: What is the correct way to use REPAREX?

A: The REPAREX bottle has a nozzle that allows to apply small amounts of REPAREX directly onto the scalp, close to the hair roots. Always apply REPAREX to slightly damp hair. As you are applying Reparex, massage it into your scalp so that it gets to your hair follicles. After applying, wait for few minutes and then dry your hair with a hairdryer. Using a hairdryer will remove any extra solution you may have applied and will also help to speed up the process. During the first ten days we recommend that you use REPAREX every other day. Once your hair color has been restored, we recommend reducing the use of REPAREX to once per week.

Q: Does it mean that I will use an entire bottle of REPAREX before my original hair color is restored?

A: Typically, you will not, but this differs from user to user. Depending on the type and length of your hair, you may use less than half of a bottle or more than one bottle of REPAREX to fully restore your original hair color. The first bottle usually lasts for two to four weeks. Once you reach your natural hair color, one bottle should last you anywhere between a mont and three months.

Q: After using REPAREX my hair went a slight shade of red, what should I do?

A: Any red hue is a result of applying too much of REPAREX. Wait an extra day of two before your next application. The hue will wear off within a few days. You may also want to slightly reduce the amount of REPAREX you apply every time.

Q: I have been using REPAREX and I would like to start dying my hair. Can I do that?

A: Yes you can. But we highly recommend that you wait at least 3 weeks between your last use of REPAREX and use of a hair dye.

Q: I have been dyeing my hair and would like to start using REPAREX. Can I do that?

A: We recommend that you wait at least three weeks, before you start using REPAREX, after dyeing your hair. If the dye contained any copper or lead sulfites or other copper or lead derivatives, do NOT apply REPREX for at least six weeks of using the dye. Copper and lead can interact with Reparex, causing temporary hair discoloration.

Q: I wash my hair daily, can I wash my hair immediately after applying REPAREX?

A: We do not recommend washing hair at least for two hours after applying REPAREX. But you can certainly keep washing you hair every day.

Q: Can I use any shampoo to wash my hair while using REPAREX?

A: Yes, you can. You do not need to change anything about you hair-washing habits.

Q: Why do people go gray?

A: Our bodies produce a pigment called melanin which occurs in an oxidized, colorless form. Our hair roots produce an enzyme called catalase that removes oxygen molecules out of melanin, giving hair its natural color. As we get older or go through stress our body produces less and less catalase to do this job. The oxygen left in the melanin leaves our hair gray. REPAREX contains an enzyme that is able to remove the oxygen from the melanin and thus restore our hair to its natural color.

Q: Is there any chance that when using REPAREX I will end up with any color other than my original?

A: There is no chance, REPAREX contains no dyes, you can only restore your natural color.

Q: Can I use a hairdryer after applying REPAREX to my hair?

A: Yes, we highly recommend you use a hairdryer after each application, it will remove any extra solution you may have applied and will also help to speed up the entire process.

Q: On days after using REPAREX I noticed that my finger nails are sometimes colored, why is that?

A: We highly recommend using provided plastic gloves when applying REPAREX. If you don’t want to use the gloves, wash your hands and finger nails with warm water and soap, right after applying REPAREX. You should also remove any trace of REPAREX from the sink, comb or anywhere else you may have accidentally applied REPAREX. If you wash any affected areas immediately, they should wash clean; if you spot stains after few hours or days, you can remove them with a bleach. If you stain your clothes with REPAREX, you will not be able to wash it off, therefore we recommend that you fully cover your clothes while using REPAREX or use old clothes during application. REPAREX can create visible stains after prolonged exposure to oxygen.

Q: Is it true that REPAREX works only when applied to my hair roots?

A: REPAREX should be applied near your hair roots and massaged in, as it works mainly through the hair’s follicle.

Q: It is true that REPAREX is harmless? What about side effects such as hair loss?

A: REPAREX does not cause or contribute to hair loss. REPAREX has been carefully tested according to the latest EC regulations for cosmetic products; this includes testing for heavy metal content, skin irritation and any general harm. It has also been evaluated by independent Cosmetic Product Safety Assessors. Furthermore REPAREX has also been registered at the Central Registration of Cosmetic Products in Brussels and classified as harmless and 100% in line with all legal requirements.

Q: Why is REPAREX being sold in 3 variations, for men, women, and beard and moustache?

A: All variations of REPAREX rely on the same active ingredients, but years of research showed that slight differences in chemistry produce better results for men, women and beard.

Q: Can I use REPAREX for women during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

A: Yes you can. Ingredients in REPAREX are harmless and they never absorbed into your body. Therefore, REPAREX does not present any danger for the mother or the baby during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Q: I have noticed that since I started to use REPAREX my hair is more elastic then it used to be before. Is there any toner in REPAREX?

A: No there isn’t any toner. The elasticity occurs from the change of the molecular structure of reduced melanin. You are not only getting the color of your youth but also the elasticity – this is one of the good side effects of our REPAREX!

Q: After using REPAREX I have my original brown hair color back but I miss being blond, can I bleach my hair?

A: Yes, you can but it is best to use hydrogen peroxide. Bleaching does the opposite process to REPAREX by binding the oxygen back to melanin.

Q: You say that REPAREX removes dandruff. I know that you can remove dandruff using a shampoo containing sulphur or antibiotics. Does your product contain similar ingredients?

A: The last results from scientific research in dandruff production showed that hair produces microbes named nano-bacteria. REPAREX contains silver and since Ancient times it has been known that silver kills bacteria. The small content of silver in REPAREX is sufficient to eliminate dandruff as it removes the nano-bacteria.

Q: After gaining my original hair color from use of REPAREX I can still see some gray spots, how can I get rid of those?

A: It is possible that some areas of your scalp get less REPAREX during application, than necessary. Simply focus on those areas more during your next application, and make sure that you massage REPAREX in.

Q: I would like to use REPAREX but I am an albino, what color hair will I get?

A: Albinism is a genetic state in which the cells that normally produce the catalase enzyme do not contain the gene that regulates this production, which is why your hair does not have any color. Our product contains an enzyme which will help your hair have color for the first time! It will be similar in color to the hair color of your mother or father.

Q: What will happen if I stop using REPAREX?

A: Your hair will gradually turn gray again. This is because REPAREX restores the natural hair de-oxidation process which your body used to do but no longer is capable of doing on its own. Your hair will turn gray within approximately a month after you stop using REPAREX.

Q: I have been using REPAREX for one year. My hair has always been very thin, however now I can see that my hair is thicker and more elastic. Is this thanks to REPAREX?

A: Yes it is. What you see is the enrichment caused by removing the oxygen from the melanin in your hair. As oxygen is taken out of the melanin molecule regularly it causes the melanin molecule to become larger. That’s why your hair is more solid and elastic!

Q: I have noticed some light gray circles on my hair. The physicians told me that it is vitiligo. Could REPAREX help with this issue?

A: If you have vitiligo circles on your skin we cannot help, but REPAREX will restore the natural color of these discolored areas in your hair. This is also true of albinism. Apply REPAREX to your entire scalp including the vitiligo areas.

Q: After using REPAREX I spilt some of it on my sink and the counter in my bathroom. This has caused black spots, how do I get rid of them?

A: When our product is in contact with non-organic matter, it cannot remove any oxygen from the substance and after some time, it stains the surface. It can be removed with a bleach.

Q: Some manufacturers of similar products recommend a special diet while applying their products, what about REPAREX, is any diet needed while using it?

A: REPAREX is a topical solution that does not require any dietary changes, to deliver the best results.

Q: I am a happy REPAREX user but I noticed that when I turn my head in the light the shades of my hair color change a little bit. When I had dyed hair this never happened, why is that?

A: That is what naturally colored hair does. What you see with dyed hair is an artificially achieved uniform look.

Q: I used REPAREX on my eyebrows but I have noticed that the result is not as strong and effective as when I used it on my hair. Why is that?

A: This could be because you have used REPAREX for men or women. For your eyebrows use REPAREX Against Gray Beard and Mustache.

Q: I didn’t read the instruction manual before I used your product, I thought it was the same as a hair dye so I used the whole bottle. Am I in any danger?

A: No, don’t worry. The worst-case scenario is that your hair will turn a shade of red but it will go away after a few days. You can speed this up by washing your hair several times every day. REPAREX is 100% harmless.

Q: Can I use REPAREX like a shampoo, applying lots of it to my hair and then washing the foam away?

A: No, this is not how REPAREX should be applied. REPAREX will not form any foam, and you will just waste the product. We recommend you only apply a small amount of REPAREX close to the roots of your hair, massage it in well with your fingertips and/or palm and use a hair dryer at the end. Using a hair dryer will speed up REPAREX’s efficacy and will help to get rid of any extra REPAREX you may have applied.

Q: I applied REPAREX to my hair and my shirt got dirty, what should I do?

A: If you stain your clothes with REPAREX, you will not be able to wash it off, therefore we recommend that you fully cover your clothes while using REPAREX or use old clothes during application.

A: G-Reductase doesn’t cause hair loss, you can keep on using REPAREX without worry.

Q: How long does one bottle of REPAREX usually last for?

A: Depending on the type and length of your hair, you may use less than half of a bottle or more than one bottle of REPAREX to fully restore your original hair color. The first bottle usually lasts for two to four weeks. Once you reach your natural hair color, one bottle should last you anywhere between a mont and three months.

Q: At my home I have two bottles of REPAREX which expired 3 months ago. I used them and they still do the job. Is this safe to do so?

A: The expiration date is calculated with considerable reserve, and REPAREX will not go bad, but it will gradually lose effectiveness. As long as you are still getting good results, you can keep using the expired product, but for best results, we recommend that you replace the expired product with a new one.

Q: I found one very old bottle of REPAREX on my bathroom shelf. How should I ecologically dispose of it?

A: The contents of the bottle can be flushed down the toilet. The plastic bottle and box should be recycled.

Q: I heard that after using REPAREX my hair will become straight and unable to curl, is this true?

A: This is not true. When using REPAREX your hair will behave as your hair always did.
